The overall goal of the workshop is to finalize DDI 4 Core as a consistent specification. It will include not only the syntax representations in XML (for preservation and exchange) and RDF (for discovery in the Linked Data Web), but will also deliver the UML from which they are derived from in the form of Canonical XMI, a portable, tool-independent expression of the model. The document on “DDI 4 Core Overview and Scope” describes purpose, goals, and features of DDI 4 Core. |
