Background:
Through June 2026, the Technical Committee has been responsible for the full development of the DDI-Lifecycle specification and supporting materials. As it transitions out of the aspect of its technical work, the Technical Committee seeks to establish an on-going working group dedicated to the continued development of the DDI-Lifecycle specification. This requires the formal establishment of a DDI-Lifecycle Working Group under the rules of the Scientific Board. Unlike topical working groups, this group should remain in effect until DDI-Lifecycle is no longer under active development. At this point, like with other product working groups, the responsibility of monitoring issue trackers and dealing with maintenance activities would revert to the Technical Committee.

The working group will follow the procedures set forth by the Scientific Board for reporting and coordination of their activities.
Purpose:
Provide continued development of the product DDI-Lifecycle by responding to user issues, providing best practices and user guides, and promoting further development in response to changing technology. The working group coordinates its activities through the Technical Committee to ensure compliance with design rules, close coordination with other products in the DDI Product Suite, and following DDI development and publication processes. In addition to on-going development and support activities, this group will address the issues listed below along with any additional development issues as they arise. A roadmap of prioritized activities will be created and maintained by the working group.
