If you are familiar with public transport systems, don't mind waiting for the bus (waiting time of approx. 2 hours in St. Wendel), and would like to avoid the taxi fee, you can take this connection (train 40.10 Euro to St. Wendel, bus 8.70 Euro to Wadern). The bus ticket is available at the bus station or at the driver. See the website of the Deutsche Bahn for train and bus schedules. Use "Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Regionalbf" for Frankfurt Airport as start (station/stop) and "Wadern, Oktavie-Allee 1" for Dagstuhl as destination (address). Please make sure that you get into the correct bus (R2, direction Wadern ZOB) in St. Wendel. The bus driver stops on demand at the Dagstuhl institute. Then you can avoid the walk from the bus stop “Bahnhofstr. Dagstuhl, Wadern” to Dagstuhl (map).
