Current Activities
Redefining the marketing message for the DDI Alliance and its products and services
Initial work has begun identifying the key features across products which would form the basis for a revitalised set of messages and accompanying materials.
Statistical Agencies Marketing Campaign
Initial work has begun to identify the key statistical agencies we wish to approach, how to do that and what specific materials would be needed.
Mission Statement
The mission of the DDI Alliance Marketing Working Group is to promote, facilitate, and accelerate the widespread adoption of the Data Documentation Initiative (DDI) standards through understanding the different audiences and tailoring messages to those audiences.
Reporting to the Executive Board, this working group is expected to report back on the following key responsibilities within one year (with the possibility of extension).
Key Responsibilities
Market Identification and Audiences
Identify key audiences within the data communities that can benefit from DDI adoption.
Identify the barriers hindering DDI adoption for these audiences and communicate them with relevant DDI communities.
Prioritize audiences based on their potential impact and readiness for DDI implementation.
Highlight DDI Strengths for Each Audience
Develop concrete use cases to make it easy for the different audiences to adopt DDI.
Develop easy-to-understand materials that effectively communicate the strengths and advantages of DDI products.
DDI Promotion to Different Audiences
Create compelling marketing campaigns to raise awareness, liaising with DDI Working groups and committees through webinars, workshops, conferences, and working papers and articles.
