Improve the Getting started

Activity:

• We could liaise with Ingo to promote the Getting Started section to a top level menu item

  • UPDATE 11/03/2025 - it is done

• The questionnaire page could be the main entry point for questionnaire content

• The improvements could include:

  • a general update of the page content

  • add references to the relevant training slides

  • add references to the upcoming guidelines and examples questionnaires

• Revising the questionnaire / survey getting started page

  • the link to “Survey metadata reusability and exchange: A call to action for questionnaire documentation” is broken ;

    • this is the good link probably: https://zenodo.org/records/7869495

    • is the document still relevant? Need to read it.

  • “Tools” section - need to be updated

    • maybe directly link to the Tools page with a dedicated filter (in the URL if possible)?

    • if not, provide DDI compliant tools only?

  • “Why document the questionnaire“ - A good intro, check if if can be enhanced

  • “Content to include” - replace / rewrite with something more like “What can you document in DDI?”

    • That could be a summary of more extensive documentation (training, guidelines)

  • “Getting started section“ - is it really a general advice on how to design questionnaire that we want? It’s probably not DDI focused enough to be useful here.
