Modularity of the DDI-CDI Model and W3C-DDI Collaboration

This topic will look at several different areas of potential collaboration between the DDI Alliance – primarily around DDI-CDI – and the W3C, based on preliminary discussion. Topics will include selecting portions of the DDI-CDI Model which could become W3C Recommendations (data description; variable description/variable cascade [including units, populations, and universes], structures for codes/categories/classifications based on SKOS/XKOS for use with DDI-CDI, updating DataCube to align with DDI-CDI and SDMX 3.0, etc.); forming a plan for organising the work with W3C and identifying initial actions; and the assessment of existing DDI-CDI RDF-based syntax representations for potential optimisation for reuse with other W3C Recommendations.
