Publications: new or updated DDI CVs

CV short name, information if a new or an updated one, publication year and month link to the vocabulary

NB: Changes made previously published vocabularies are specified in 'Version notes' and 'Version Changes' of each amended vocabulary. Note that in the spring of 2023, the versioning was changed from two-digit to three-digit versioning, including all language variants.

Publication pipeline to the DDI Alliance controlled vocabularies website forthcoming. Till then the updated vocabularies are available on vocabularies.cessda.eu. Many of the vocabularies there have different language variants in addition to English, from two languages up to eleven.

• ModeOfCollection 4.0. Updated 11/2020. Four new terms added, to cover remote sensing and automated data extraction methods. https://vocabularies.cessda.eu/vocabulary/ModeOfCollection?lang=en

• AnalysisUnit 2.1. Updated 11/2020. CV definition rephrased. https://vocabularies.cessda.eu/vocabulary/AnalysisUnit?lang=en

• Information on DDI 3.3. usage added for all vocabularies, specifying in which DDI 3.3 element the vocabulary can be used. Updated 11/2020.

• TypeOfAddress 1.1. Updated, 5/2020. Two definitions amended.https://vocabularies.cessda.eu/vocabulary/TypeOfAddress?lang=en

• ContributorRole 1.0, new, published 12/2019. https://vocabularies.cessda.eu/vocabulary/ContributorRole?lang=en

• AnalysisUnit 2.0, five new codes added, one code value changed, several descriptive terms and code definitions rephrased. Will be published on the DDI Alliance CV website, till then  available on https://vocabularies.cessda.eu/#!detail/AnalysisUnit
