Implementation Guides for Communities Using DDI-CDI

Introduction

• User communities will identify specific subsets for their own purposes

  • Selection of classes and properties

  • Indication of controlled vocabularies

  • Integration with other standards (e.g., SKOS/XKOS, DDI-L, etc.)

  • Specification of supported syntax representations

• Subsetting tool exists in initial form

• Some exemplary subsets already exist

  • UKDA data description (long, wide, multi-dimensional)

  • Sikt “Climate Neutral and Smart Cities” ESS science project (process description)

• Outputs would include documentation for creating subsets and publication of examples and recommended subsets for specific purposes
