Controlled vocabularies - Hayley. ACTION @Hilde Orten (Unlicensed) to check queries, but most likely okay as is. 
Question and instrument structures - Hayley. ACTION @Hilde Orten (Unlicensed) to check queries. 
DDI Identification and Versioning (Hayley and Anja reviewed, Hilde updated, do you want to check your queries have been addressed Anja?) ACTION Anja to check the changes, to see if queries have been addressed. DONE. 

 

ACTION: @Anja Perry (Unlicensed) to ask colleague to check slides on DDI website for exercises and compile them. Also include Jane and Anja’s exercises.

CESSDA train the trainers package have exercises. FDMentor train the trainers package for RDM which have exercises ACTION: @Anja Perry (Unlicensed) to look into this.

  • We propose to collate the exercise which have been used for DDI training as well as any other relevant training exercises then another working group it setup to look at these. 

 

  • Tools

    • Do any of the slide decks mention tools? 

ACTION: @Hayley Mills to list slide decks where tools are mentioned. Done. 

  • DDI for researchers and data managers

  • DDI-C vs DDI-L vs DDI-CDI

ACTION: Raise at training group our proposal for how to handle tools. .

 

  • What should our approach be?

    • Hilde- shouldn’t be included in generic slide decks as they can be outdated, can be seen as promotion, DDI shouldn't be confused with the tools. Tutorials can include tools as they are time specific and can be used for demos etc. 

    • Anja - tools can help more applicable rather than in an abstract way. But it will look like a recommendation. We don’t want to keep updating the generic slides. 

 

  • More detailed slide decks needed - should review existing older slide decks. 

    • Should this be a task for the gaps working group? 

    • Should be done by topic- adding more slide decks with more low level (detail). Can we set priorities by demand (training requests) and when there are changes to DDI.
