  • Outstanding slide decks and actions

    • Quality slide deck; @Kaia Kulla

      • feedback via email: clarify the difference between a quality standard, statement and report

      • might be good to incorporate description in recording into the slides or the slide notes

      • consider including an example in the slides (not right away but after more notes are added)

    • Concepts; @Dan Gillman ; will makes changes from Dec 16 meeting

    • Universe, pops, units, unit types deck - soon will be added to Gesisbox

    • Hayley - part of Training Fair for EDDI; will add slides to Zenodo (on CoData site for now) - we should revisit these now that they have been used to re-evaluate them, Hayley knows of some edits that are already needed

  • New slide deck- How does DDI relate to other standards e.g. Dublin core

    • Jared’s email - keep in mind for tasks next year and figure out priorities

    • Talk with larger group and enlist help from the larger group; who is an expert in this area?

    • This could be a webinar, too - added to webinar list Jan 13

  • Workflow for webinar slide decks

    • Concerns about multiple groups contributing to the training slide decks and duplicate info

      • Make sure we set our scope, some webinar slides may not be training slides

    • When the slide group gives feedback to the webinar sprints groups, who makes the changes? 

      • No process is in place yet; Maybe a working meeting to resolve the slide changes, including people from both groups that are interested? 3-4 per year

      • They do a webinar, give us the slides, we review it, collect the comments, then schedule a meeting to resolve comments; I will make sure to distribute the slides.

  • Draft of possible topics for the DDI Training Webinar series - gives some ideas we have discussed in the Training Opportunities sub-group, and some thoughts regarding prioritization/next steps. We are looking for input on proposed topics and their prioritization, as well as possible further ideas.

    • From Jane via email to DDI group: How To Document Datasets at the Variable-Level in Dataverse [Check with Amber Leahey and Alina Danciu]. She is part of the working group at Scholars Portal looking into conversion from Nesstar to ??? (potentially DV) and the value of the DDI metadata we already have is a topic we keep coming back to.

    • Survey of Implementation Examples/Use Cases for DDI-CDI - To get people using it, useful to have this type of webinar.

    • Developing Community Implementation Guides for DDI-CDI*

    • Feedback on list needed by Jan 25th; let Kathryn know of group feedback and send to Arofan and Hilde or larger group; let Hilde know about existing slides that might need edits

    • We don't see a lot of overlap (between our priorities and the webinar content) yet in the list

      • possibly the variable cascade but the info is different enough
